Exetel Communications (Pvt) Ltd operates from its office at Orion City, Colombo 09, which has been set up to house over 200 staff. The Sri Lankan company now provides first and second level support to Exetel Australia which is an Australian ISP that provides ADSL, web hosting, VoIP, and other internet services to customers across Australia. Exetel's headquarters are based in offices in North Sydney and its switching centre is in a secure Data Centre facility in the Sydney CBD. Exetel has 110,000+ residential and business customers.
We have been providing all Level 1 and Level 2 support services for Exetel Australia's customers from the end of December 2008 with sixteen, degree qualified engineers and a further four degree qualified programmers to provide analysis and programming services to Exetel in Australia. We now have more than 150 degree qualified personnel in the Colombo office varying across different streams from those qualified in sales, accounting and IT, with the start up of sales, provisioning & billing divisions in the Sri Lankan office.
From the success in the Australian market Exetel is creating a new sales team in Colombo for a new market venture into the UK. We are looking for the next generation of Exetel talent at a very exciting time to help us drive new business opportunities and to be successful in a larger market.
